First, you need to gather the important things like:
- a cotton ball, tweezers
- g-tip on the wood stick
- apple cider vinegar
If there is any hair in the dog’s ear. You need to remove the hair first from the ear by using a tweezer. You can finish the process by placing the long g-tip with the wood handle inside the ear of the dog. Twist it simply and the hair will be attracted to it. You need to spin it then around its handle and then give it a slight tug so the hairs will come out.
If there is any hair on the ear flap of the dog, remove it so that you will be able to see the pink color. This may help the air to circulate and it reduces the chances of ear infection. Use tweezers to pull out the hair.
Now you need to take the g-tip to clean the inside of the dog’s ear, continue it until the g-tip come out clean. A groomer or veterinarian can help you and show you the right techniques to do the steps properly.
Now mix apple cider vinegar and water in 50:50 ration in a bowl
Dip a cotton ball in this mix and then rub it around inside the ear of the dog so the dirt may dampen wit this mixture. Then remove the cotton ball to finish the process. It will dry up fast and apple cider vinegar has a drying agent.
You need to spend a specific time every week to clean up the ears of the dog and this process can help you to get rid of the ear infection too.
