After learning that her dog’s nose measures 12 inches long, the owner believes her dog has the world’s longest nose.
Meet this unique borzoi
Lily Kambourian, 27, of Richmond, and her girlfriend, Savannah, adopted Eris, a two-year-old large-nosed borzoi, on July 23, 2018. The couple sometimes called her Madam Eris Overbite, Queen of Snoots, which came from the name of the Greek goddess of conflict and discord.
Eris was originally from Keysville, Virginia. Lily said that the dog has siblings and they also have the same overbite as Eris. Nonetheless, her unique characteristics never stopped them from adopting and loving the dog.
Eris measures four feet and nine inches from snout to tail, with a very long nose. The couple said that whenever they brought Eris out for a walk, people would get curious and ask them a bunch of questions. However, it got so tiresome that they eventually looked for another route so the dog could enjoy her walk without interruption.
It was undeniable how much the couple loved and cherished Eris. They would always share adorable photos of the dog on her Instagram account, which has almost 200,000 followers. Eris’s life looked almost perfect, but apparently, the dog’s underbite could lead to dental problems.
And if worse comes worse, it might lead to canine extraction. Thankfully, she didn’t have any issues with her nose and still enjoyed eating her meal. They would give her bone marrow, and she would gnaw on it for hours.
Lily shared that Eris could get very sensitive at times. But, the dog still managed to remain adorable and they just knew that they already had the best dog that they could ever have. According to the couple, Eris’s Instagram account started as a scrapbook and they never expected that it would attract a lot of attention.
Nonetheless, they were really glad to see that the dog could not only make them happy but also other people from all over the world.
