Despite all the laws we have regarding animal rights, there are still quite a lot of heartless people out there who abuse and neglect dogs. Many of these dogs are often used in dogfighting or backyard breeding. Whenever these dogs get rescued, they are often shut down and depressed because of the horrific living conditions they experienced from their previous owners.
Finn is one of 36 dogs to experience abuse and neglect from his owner. Being a resilient dog yet depressive dog is terrifying for humans. Thankfully, the rescue and placement results in a loving foster home.
Finn does display happiness after two weeks in his new home but he still smelled of infection. Finn’s immune system was in a horrible state that would display a need for antibiotics. Finn’s comfort is paramount in his new home. Blankets and pillows seem to cheer this pooch.
Time to heal
Finn needed to heal and his new family let him lead the way during the entire process. Eventually, Finn started bonding with his new family and he slowly started acting like a dog again. When Finn first came to his new home, he would always sit on the ground and crawl into his new family’s lap like he just wanted to hide from the world.
Finn was so afraid of any potential abuse that might happen to him that he sought comfort and protection from the people who are showing him kindness and love. Whenever Finn meets someone new, he always acts terrified, especially around men. However, his new family took it slow and helped Finn recover from his traumatic past. The love that Finn was shown paid off and he learned to trust humans again.
Finn turned out to be a big clown who loves life and loves to play. Finn also has two rescue doggie sisters named Poe and Penny who he adores. Whenever Finn gets a chance to, he would do zoomies around the house with his siblings. After playing, Finn would take long naps with his siblings or his loving human parents.
It was challenging for Finn’s new mom to help Finn recover. Witnessing Finn’s transformation from a terrified dog into a happy one is one of the happiest things that Finn’s mom ever experienced. Finn is unique and his transformation from a sad dog to a happy one is reason enough why we should give dogs like Finn a chance.
Finn now lives the best life that he could possibly have. Finn finally understood the meaning of love and kindness. Here’s a heartwarming video showing Finn’s transformation.
